    1970-2000 Global Warming
    2000-2030 Global Cooling

    etc etc.

This is why Easterbrook predicts cooling and then warming in 60 years to reach the same temp we had in the Medieval warm period. A no brainer once you look into the temperature records.

At the moment his predictions are much closer than the IPCC.
and in the absence of being able to conduct any meaningful experiments, the only real tests we have are predictions

Yeah, but we all know that in a few minutes the house gibbon will be along poo-pooing the whole suggestion because he has crunched some more numbers in his "modelling computer", fed it through his IPCC-Friendly casio calculator, and bashed it with his chad valley hockey stick a few times!

Come on down sg, your audience awaits!

I suppose you older gentlemen don't really mind making arses of yourself on public forums by exposing your low IQ. It's quite refreshing actually ...

...oh and another interesting fact. There is hot magma flowing under one the Greenland's glaciers that is melting. Worth bringing up on a debate on melting in Greenland.

Just what the thread needed. Another dousing with sg's pointless stupidity dust! Well done!

The CO2 content of the atmosphere is 0.038% so one American billion tonnes of CO2 would increase the content by a factor of 1.000526 or by about 1/1900th.

That is, ignoring the CO2 absorbed by the sea and used by green plants. And ignoring the CO2 absorbed by the moisture in the air to become carbonic acid which falls as acid rain on Norwegian fir trees.
I tried to do a pie chart based on RC figures. I got an MS-Graph exception report 'err 1095. error -figures far too small to produce any meaningful graph. The thinnest line I can draw is one thousand times the size of your sample. Please stop taking the mickey'

                Sceptical atmospheric scientist

....The predicted warming, according to the United Nations panel, would be accompanied by widespread climatic disruption.

Bunk, says Dr. Lindzen. He says the conclusions are based on computerized models of the climate system so flawed as to be meaningless. Everyone recognizes that the models are imperfect, but Dr. Lindzen goes much farther. "I do not accept the model results as evidence," he says, because trusting them "is like trusting a ouija board." Furthermore, he argues, the physics of the atmosphere permit only a minor and untroubling warming despite the buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

....everyone takes him with the utmost seriousness because of a reputation for brilliance that got him elected to the National Academy of Sciences at age 37. It is in this sense that his voice stands out from the relatively small group of greenhouse scientists who speak out boldly and publicly in dissent.

Quick EO, before sg jumps on the "special Bus" and heads home for the day. PM him and ask him if he can point you to the link to the IPCC sponsored Paintbox site that they use to make climate models. On there you can pretty much produce anything you want, and no exceptions!!
Even a sasguru can produce a hockeystick graph denoting pretty much what you want it to...........given enough time!

"In 2005, James Annan offered to take Lindzen, the MIT meteorologist, up on his bet that global temperatures in 20 years will be cooler than they are now. However, no wager was ever settled on because Lindzen wanted odds of 50-to-1 in his favour. This meant that for a $10,000 bet, Annan would have to pay Lindzen the entire sum if temperatures dropped, but receive only $200 if they rose.

“Richard Lindzen’s words say that there is about a 50 percent chance of [global] cooling,” Annan wrote about the bet. “His wallet thinks it is a 2 percent shot. Which do you believe?”
                      "

Really I do know you're not very well educated but to fall for such simple propaganda? Sheesh.
