How about massaging it round your intestines?

Just an idea, I don't know if it works.

shreddies for breakfast and a yakult drink should sort you out.

If that fails go and buy a bottle of lactulose and a couple of mouthfuls of that and it will fly out..

The gentle way would be to buy some bran, not a ready cereal but plain bran (probably from a health food shop). Sprinkle it on all of your food. Drink lots of water, dehydration will bung you up. You also need to walk, if you sit down all day; it will make it worse.

You can use Sennakot but you will need to get the bacteria back into your bowel. You can do this by eating generous portions of live yoghurt.

Antibiotics can bung you up as these will kill off good and bad bacteria. You should take yoghurt with antibiotics but doctors usually forget to tell patients that.

Prune juice. Or a packet of dried apricots, the ready to eat kind.

Go into the loo and stand on your head with your back flat against the wall.
Sing 'rule brittania' quietly to yourself then say 'the sea sloshed softly over the sailors' six times.
Report back when you have completed this. I, for one, will sh1 t myself laughing

Take pro-biotics. They cost around £10 fo a month's supply from Boots.

Have a smoke. I don't smoke but when I'm constipated I find it relaxes my muscles and allows it all to come out easier.

cojaks' suggestion of fruit, lots of water and excercise is spot on IMHO, as is DaveBs' for dried fruit.

Also, check the known side effects of any medication you may be taking.

                  Good luck.

The amount of probiotic need to make a difference would be about 2 litres per day. Probiotics do work for some people but the research done has been corrupted by the food manufactures. Do a Google for “The truth about probiotics” Ordinary yogurt will work just as well, preferably live yoghurt.

Yoghurt is so very easy to make,

the secret is keeping the equipment (one cooking pot) really clean. I have used Greek Yoghert as a “starter” and the result becomes very near the original. I see no reason why you cant start a batch of yoghurt using a bought probiotic yoghurt.
