I'm off the bench in two weeks time, a 3 month stint on it, not a sniff of work apart fron the gig I have lined up. Quite enjoyable, lots of DIY and gardening and just flagged a double drive.

Yep.. I'm on the bench.... 3 months and counting. Partly self inflicted... but there you go.

Just started a new 3 months, already been asked about 3 months in the new year. New role is not in the direction I want to go in, but hell invoice, invoice, invoice!

            Nine and a half months.

Had only my third interview since the start of the year last friday. The seond one where the guy hadn't read my CV and wanted someone with skills that I don't have.

After 4 months on the bench I've just turned down a 12 month gig 10 minutes from home (on 75% of last rate mind)

Instead I've gone and done it. Plan B is up and running.

                  off the bench

                  off the bench.

5 months and over 2,000 applications.

Great feeling telling pimps where to go.

end of 2010-2011 should be good IT predicted to grow 15%

Starting to get a bit bored now, after five weeks. Mrs F is using the time well and is now looking at moving house while I can go and look at them....
