I'm off the bench in two weeks time, a 3 month stint on it, not a sniff of work apart fron the gig I have lined up. Quite enjoyable, lots of DIY and gardening and just flagged a double drive.

Nine and a half months.
Had only my third interview since the start of the year last friday. The seond one where the guy hadn't read my CV and wanted someone with skills that I don't have.

After 4 months on the bench I've just turned down a 12 month gig 10 minutes from home
(on 75% of last rate mind)
Instead I've gone and done it. Plan B is up and running.
