No option for not being drawn to them at all?

I voted for the first one, most people who go on about 'PC gone mad' don't have a proper grasp of what political correctness is.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I am not drawn to them at all. Repelled, more. I am tempted to give them a protest vote, because of my growing distaste for Labour, in particular New Labour. But in my rational moments I do not see how I could ever vote for the Tories, at least not if they don't repudiate Thatcher.

If OTOH they are and remain the party of Thatcher, they can never get my vote.

Edit: I am in favour of libertarianism and democracy; fiscal conservatism and spending where needed; small government but concerned and humane government; business sense and community intervention: I do not see those in CON any more than in LAB.

Could there be such a thing as a 'libertarian socialist'? I don't mind the idea of everyone being looked after... as long as they're prepared to pull their bloody weight and don't tell me how I should live my life.

I wonder if it's only people/families who were adversely affected by Thatcherite policies that hate the conservatives?

If that's the case, I wonder if Labour/Blair/Brown will be similarly hated in 10 years time?
