I just got back from Texas where I intercepted the eye of Hurricane Rita at Beaumont Texas, almost ground zero – sadly this was all at night so I don’t have many video or images to show you. Wind speeds were intense believe me, enough to make a mutli story car park shake !!! – min pressure I recorded in the eye was 947mb.
Aslo nice to see the first looters out at day break…. And the refineries at Port Arthur all messed up with some on fire.
I also saw some dude on a skate board with an umbrella being propelled by the winds – I have this on video which is cool. (will post a link tomorrow when I have had some sleep!)
