Eck!

[BrilloPad]

And banning guns in this country has had what effect?

It annoyed the hell out of those who get alot of the GB gold medals at the olympics.

It enabled the government spin machine to say they were being tough on crime and they were taking action.

to emoliate the population.

to emoliate the population.

I do like learning new words!

emoliate - To soften; to render effeminate

If you take the levels of crime involving firearms among FAC holder you'll find that it will be one or two a year.

Like it or not the gun laws were bought in as a reaction to

• Hungerford
• Dunblane

Both massacres were commited by licenced gun owners

If this course of action was not taken how would you be able to defend your position should a 3rd incident occur?

The argument was never about sports shooting or the criminal fraternity

so is banning cluster bombs also a bad thing as it breeds curiosity?

Guns serve no purpose in a civilised society, which is why they're still legal in America.

Absolutely, which is why I'm off to a gun range when I go to Vegas in September to play with all manner of automatic weapons

Surely it would be more fun and realistic if you went to Afghanistan?

True, but I think I'd rather be shooting at targets that won't shoot back

That's not half so much fun...

It's a lot of fun.

They turn the targets upside down when you've got an automatic weapon so when you lose control of it, you don't shoot the roof (BAD).

Probably not

Most definitely
