How much is fuel in France? Is it worth getting a cheap ferry crossing and taking some jerry cans over?
Edit: Just checked, 4 or 5p a litre cheaper. Not really worth it.Last edited by DiscoStu; 19 May 2008, 08:52.ǝןqqıʍComment

I want to know why it has gone up at all.
Sure the price of a barrel of crude has gone up by 50% but, as the petrol companies have been telling us for years, oil is traded in dollars. At the same time oil has been rising so has the pound against the dollar (more so) so fuel should be coming down in price not rising.
There is a group that are suggesting not buying your fuel from BP or Esso stations. This should force them to cut prices and should start a price war.
Worth thinking about no?I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I'm seriously considering buying an old non-turbo diesel without a common rail and finding a decent supplier of vegetable oil...ǝןqqıʍComment

Good news
Should help make the SL65 AMG a little more affordable. It does 11 MPG if driven carefully around town.
But then it does have a twin-turbo 6.0 litre V12 developing over 600bhp.Last edited by DimPrawn; 19 May 2008, 09:50.Comment
