I installed it and it was seamless....it does not mention if they are doing an upgrade or full install however..."If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier" -
Going by the articles flooding the net.... Vista just worked in comparism to the dog which is Leopard. All in all it is a major upgrade to the previous version. If I recall, Vista had more urgent issuesComment

It cracks me up to see how Mac lovers talk about new features in OS like backup or local search, this is sad really because it seems to show that level of 3rd party software for Macs is so low that you need an OS upgrade to get some basic fuctions.

Remember though...you could not open your XP backups when they released Vista...how basic and fundamental is that?"If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier"Comment

But it is bad...millions of people all over the world complained at how bad it is...simple...Originally posted by tay View PostPeople installed Vista fine as well.. hasnt stopped you rabbiting on how bad it is...."If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier"Comment

As fundamental as not checking a file has been copied before deleting it? One of these bugs has been fixed....Remember though...you could not open your XP backups when they released Vista...how basic and fundamental is that?Comment

No, it was not fixed. You had to download the NT version of backup from MS to allow it to open the bkf file...and how old is NT4?Originally posted by tay View PostAs fundamental as not checking a file has been copied before deleting it? One of these bugs has been fixed....
Leopard has been out less than 2 weeks and we are only going on what some journo said..."If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier"Comment

So you are resorting to pure numbers? I think you will find the % of complaints about Leopard is higher than it was for Vista. But we cant prove that either way. Leoparsd release has been a shambles... just accept it. Vista release wasnt great either, but we are disproving the myth that macs 'just work'.. and for the guy thinking about buying one, I was showing him it might be a good idea to wait. But it is bad...millions of people all over the world complained at how bad it is...simple...
Just admit Macs dont 'just work'.Comment
