Just got a call to say my Dad has collapsed and I'm dead worried - they think it might have been a minor stroke.... I think I should go home but I don't want my Mam to be worrying about us coming home and Dad in hospital.

Sorry to hear that. I suggest you go home despite Mom's worrying.

I'd agree. There's Ryanair flights from Manchester to Dublin.

Sorry to hear about your dad, get the next flight home and you will be able to help your mum out.
          Good luck

Get yourself home. If it is a stroke, make sure your dad sees a specialist asap. There are treatments and tests that must be done quickly to make for a speedy recovery.

I hope all goes well for you and your dad.

              There's a time and a place...

I went through the same thing this year, when my dad suffered a TIA (which is the medical term for a minor stroke / borderline stroke), so can actually relate to what CM must be feeling.

My thoughts are in a PM, rather than discussing it here.

Book your flights and get going. I'm sorry to hear that my gf had the same news recently. All you will do is worry about it and you won't be able to concentrate. Best thing is to go and see him. Nothing is more important than this.

                    ISorry to hear that sweety.
I think you need to asses.
If it is not life threatening then rushing home would be a bit unnecessary, obviously if it is then all speed.
                    Not knowing is very difficult.
