That is the "report post" icon and has always been there - not new in the upgrade. If you see a post you don't like then click it, fill in the form and it emails the moderators. Quite a few users have reported spam and bad behaviour using it and it is good at getting nasty stuff off the board very quickly as while I am online for 18 hours a day I am not always on the forum but do check mail every 15 mins or so...
The Naughty Triangle was DEFINITELY not appearing next to my tag last Friday. I know, because I suspected that I'd be dobbed-in at some point, and had been keeping an eye on it.

If another member dobs someone in then I would expect the mods to give you an infraction (if deemed necessary) and to use the system to give an explanation of why the infraction was applied. More often than not the report post system has been used to flag spam etc and with the new user moderation you should see no spam on the forum from now on.

RH - not sure if reports will count towards infractions, unlikely I would think as could easily be abused by end users signing up for multiple accounts to report posts of users they do not like etc. Mods can at least take an overview of the system and situation and apply infractions based on the reported posts. So in a roundabout way I guess reporting posts can help with infraction count for bad members.

Admin - thanks, was as suspected.
Cheers for the new system - I'll try and avoid the temptation to report myself.

Yup, you are right, reporting one's own posts was not an option before. Can't think why it would be necessary, will prob be fixed with next upgrade.

Oh, one request btw - can we have some advance notice of the next board outage/maintenance if possible, perhaps in a sticky thread a la 'CUK forum' please?

            Cheers.

Floods, Black Friday, lost my Bic biro this morning, and now bizarre Naughty Triangle issues... all, I think, clearly described in Nostrodamus. Time to worry!

What do I need one of those for? Highly over-rated from what I have heard. A borg only needs a few hours a day to reflect on the days events and re-charge the batteries.

You forgot to mention the biggest threat - CCD - colony collapse disorder affecting honey bees- seems the little blighters are just sodding off from the hives for no reason... no pollination = no food

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

There will be no more outages unless unplanned
