Is this the same lot as do banking consultancy? If so, I'm reminded of a joke we adapted for them...

Two Xansa consultants walked into a building.

You would have thought one of them would have seen it!

My first contract was with Xansa - never again. They brought in two Indian "consultants" on the grounds that one of them had "Forms" on his CV and the other one had "Oracle" on hers. The combination of "Oracle Forms" didn't quite filter through as a requirement!

Come on, Xansa can't be as bad as all that.

Oh they are - and then some!

Tried to recruit me as a permie this year, so at least I had the pleasure of laughing at them face to face.

Our Xansa consultants were OK, but yes we did have to train them up ourselves. And they came out of a different bit of the client's budget so I didn't have to worry about my project getting ripped off. I suppose I'll have to learn French as well as Urdu now.

They used to be OK when they were FI but then things went down hill rapidly - a bit like their share price!

Why would you have to learn Urdu?

I would have though Hindi would be a better bet.

I worked at one place where I did a handover of the project to them. Granted their rate was 25% cheaper per person than my charge rate. Only thing was, I handed over to 3 people for what I had been doing alone.
