Best make sure that it's a high percentage alcohol then, that way they could fine you for drink driving as you leave the airport and collect much needed revenue for government coffers (After all it's only fair you pay for your bacon sarnie and pint of lager!!!).

The security at major UK airports is getting farcical. Going out of the UK last week (prior to the bomb scare) there were 30 minute queues just to get through security. Coming back to the UK on Monday there was a 45 minute queue to get through passport control. We all know which section of the community the terrorists come from so why does the government continue to appease that community and waste time and money by putting strict checks on the whole of the UK community just in order to show fairness. The time and money would be better spent on targeting the community that the perpetrators come from. Perhaps it’s time to revoke the visas of all foreign workers from the suspect countries.

The current situation would have been as daft as trying not to offend the Nazis during WW2.

No, what is really farcical is how incompetant most of these terrorists are. Consider Portrait of the Modern Terrorist as an Idiot or Beavis and Butthead in London jihad.

Face it, most of these terrorists peaked at 9/11. There may be a problem, but not as big a one as our leaders and masters would have us believe.

It is worth noting in the Schneier article how many 'terrorist' incidents were prompted by the FBI plant within the groups themselves!

And secondly, no paddy is not right. He's basically saying that every asian person in this country should either (ideally I'm guessing) be banished, or at least be targetted, stopped, searched, tarred with the terrorism brush and have their lives made a misery.

As a Brit we're entitled to a certain way of life, and a massive part of that is our freedom. Our "innocent until proven guilty" attitude. And that goes for every type/creed/colour of Brit who lives in this country. Even southerners!

And this has got nothing to do with photofits - if the police were on the lookout for a certain person who matched a certain description who;'d committed a certain crime, then yes, stop people who match that description. At M'cr airport, there is still a separate lane for travelling to Ireland, kind of makes you feel a bit like a leper but it's usually a bit quicker.

Is that why it's there? I always feel dead jealous because there are only two people in that queue as opposed to seventeen thousand scals in the other one. Almost tempted to buy a cheap flight to Ireland with my real business one and check in twice, so I can go through that channel for security and then just take my proper flight...
