sorry to disappoint..
I went contracting in the boom years 1998, by 2001 they were already over, but I survived until 2003, and then got the boot.I'm alright JackComment

me too. Got in as a student in '99 when you could say "I saw a computer once and it might have had Access running" was enough to get you the contract of your choice.
The 4 months out were in 2001, giving me ample time to watch Enron, WorldCom and the World Trade Center collapse. That scared me enough to go running into the arms of the first client that had some work going, where I stayed for the 5 years until my rate had increased from negligible to vaguely respectable, I was bored, and suggested they replace me with 3 cheaper and more capable individuals while I hopped off to one of their far more interesting sister companies.
