Yeah in my experience it's been within a day, usually the agent is as keen to know as I am, so usually hear something a few hours after. But then again I've landed every contract I've had an interview for. Admittedly it's not that many as they all started out as 3 monthers and extended to between 1 and 3 years. Luverly jubbly.

Certainly don't let it stop you applying or going for other interviews, regardless of how long they might take to get back to you. Better to have two or more good offers on the table than none.

No was a phone interview, ill hold off till tomorrow before declaring it a dead deal.

My current role the client offered me the job in the interview, and I accepted. I then had a weird phone conversation with the agent where he insisted on asking me how I thought it went even though I'd told him I'd already accepted. So I told him I thought it went very well, and he said "congratulations, you've got the job."

I've only ever had one telephone interview, and a week later the agent was still telling me that I was on the short list and it was definitely me or another candidate, but kept trying to negotiate with me on rates. I think he was in full BS mode and probably had bullied the clients into talking to some contractors when there was never a role in the first place.

Maybe there so impressed that they are trying to find more funds to get my rate up or a longer contract!!! Yes that must be the reason.

Yup we've all been there (except for Capt. D) the worst thing is if you really want the job and you kid yourself you've got it. But u never know, keep us posted.

Agent emailed back saying he hadn't heard any thing yet. I would have thought if I hadn't got it I wouldnt have got that email?
