This is a very particular subset of the societies views we see on this board, which is fine by me but let's not say's it's representative of anything more than a small segment of the population.

As for honesty, that's the biggest load of BS ever. I've more time for someone who hold's these views and is prepared to speak them out loud in RL, rather than stand behind mummies anonymous skirt and fling insults. Cowardly is about as nice a way as I can describe that.

Honesty: Last year I fell out permanently with a couple of people who I have known for years. Neither had expressed any views that I found at all offensive for those years. We had discussed a number of topics and I knew which camp they were in, but they never went overboard.
It was only when I told them I was going to a gay wedding did I find out the extent of their homophobia and then later in a conversation about Islam they misinterpreted by stance on Islam as being as right wing as them.
They are no longer friends.

I may not like Baggie and Sockies opinions, but I am glad they are expressing them. That way I wont make the mistake of liking them.

We're a bunch or primarily white, 25-45 yr old, professional men. 50% of our population are female, here it's less than 5 (And thats including the imposters).

Where's the minorities (Race and religions), tradesmen, pensioners, people who voted NL at the last election (They're the majority after all) etc.

Can't say I will be sorry to see you go SA but I think it's a shame that you let other people's views influence you in this way. It's a discussion forum and yes things get heated sometimes but in real life people will not always agree with everything you say and IMHO it is not healthy to surround yourself with such people.

Hey I can start quoting Nietzsche or some crap like that and try and promote myself as some sort of quasi-intellectual, but why bother? Why bother trying to impress people I'm never going to meet? For me this forum is light entertainment, period. If I want intellectual stimulation then I'll register with the metaphysical poets forum. People in here take themselves way too seriously and my gutter humour and non-sensical ramblings are taking the p*ss out of those people. It really is comical watching people debating in here trying desperately to look smarter than others and ironically just sounding foolish. It's schoolyard stuff, it really is.
