No I don't HAVE to employ anyone who was higher up than me.
The chances are that I would only find out that someone was a mason *after* they joined the company.

I am genuinely suprised by that like - I thought people would be able to pull strings. Obviously you wouldn't employ some nugget off the street just cause he was a mason, or a high up mason's son...but I'd have thought it would have lent some weight to it. Else what's the point?!
