Well Mordac and I turned up for a few drinks, sat at a table looking around but couldn't really see anyone. Then some dapper hyperactive kiddy (realityhack) shouts out 'Are there any geeks or nerds here!' and Mordac put his hand up quickly, punching a young petite girl in the face as she walked past, with a deft touch and lightning reactions he's kicked her a number of times as she lay on the ground and then slapped her aging mother............

Anyway SallyAnne looks as described and talks as she posts. A class lass.
Gonzo was there. A newbie ish contractor who was shocked to learn this has nickname is a form of porn.
Xeno instantly new what this type of form was and offered to make a little film there and then. A dapper chap with a good personality.
Ngooner was there again, another life and soul type (arent we all). Ngooner had raided his dads wardrobe and was wearing one of his shirts. Laurence llewelyn Bowen walked past and made a comment about it 'being loud'
A myriad of lovely ladies were bought in by Xeno, gooner & realityhack. I had bought Mordac, Gonzo bought a camera.

Reality hack is what we call in the trade Front of House(all mouth & trousers ;-), the rest of us Back of House - Geeks with money

and finally we are awaiting the arrival of the Warrior Princess. Yowser! Woof woof.

I forgot to mention that Chico turned up but didnt introduce himself. We spotted him at the bar a gaggle of angels opened the door for him and his long golden locks waved in the breeze.

I believe Sasguru turned up, a small weedy man about 55. He was with a young dapper looking lad all teeth and Armani, who we assume was Judge Fred. They sat on their own held hands for a bit then left.

AndyW turned up but was thrown out by the scottish bouncer. It's funny, he kept trying on different clothes and wigs, but the scottish bouncer kept throwing him out.

But the funniest thing was when Sally Anne insulted some guy as he walked through the door.

"Are you a nerd of a geek?' she asked of him
Indignantly he replied 'NO! Im a mathematician' and stormed out!! Quite funny.

I had a good night - it was pleasantly surprising to discover that we are all (fairly) normal and not your stereotypical IT geeks at all.

Hehe. I am a man of action, not words. Plus I didn't stay as long as most.

I'll allow myself a bullet-point summary only:

• MF - Looks a bit like you would imagine a Marillion Fan to look. Although less hairy. Experienced contractor who was done a lot of 'real business' stuff. Interesting to talk to. Good sense of humour. Didn't get annoyed when I asked him about 'tat business'.
• Mordac - Another experienced contractor. Easy to talk to, but with a set of mad, stary eyes, has a look that tells you that if you annoyed him he would be mad. He and I had a nice chat about LA.
• SallyAnne - Larger than life in presence and personality. Life and soul of the party. Even introduced some random dude to the CUK forum that she was chatting to at the bar. Great fun, but you need thick-skin or she will take you apart like a good comedian does to a heckler. Being from the north she is heavily accented, such that some sentences are largely incoherent.
• Gonzo - Quiet.
• realityhack - Loud.
• n5gooner - The guy that I spoke with the most. Top bloke.

There were a few of those in the pub, but no-one that was there from this board had a cockney accent. At least not as far as I can remember.
