You'd be surprised. Non-smokers won't want somewhere too smoky, I want somewhere where I can smoke without annoying the rest too much, ugly people won't want somewhere too well lit, the oldies won't want somewhere too loud, the tight-wads won't want somewhere too pricey, someone's bound to want wi-fi / pinball machine / strippers / sky sports etc.His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain... -
Good point Mordy. Defo somewhere not brilliantly well lit.Originally posted by MordacYou'd be surprised. That is an excellent idea!
Instead of making the inside of the pub non-smoking so that the smokers have to go outside, why not make the inside of the pub for the smokers and make the non-smokers go outside? They would get all the fresh air that they want then.Originally posted by SallyAnne**** the non smokers - they can stand outside! I'm smoking twice as much to compensate for the fourthcoming ban!
Actually, the last time I visited a country where the smokers had to go outside I found that you get these really sociable areas outside the front of the pub and the atmosphere is much better there than inside. Difference being that it was a country where it doesn't get as cold during the winter.Comment

Oh dang that lets me out on several countsOriginally posted by MordacOK, what are the requirements? I know we have a lot of warm-beer sandal-wearing drinkers on here.
1. I like cocktails (double entendre alert)
2. I'm completely unfamiliar with the basics of Morris dancing
3. I'm female
I hope you all have a nice time anyway
