WHS. Nothing more depressing than hearing about how great it's going for somebody else. Surely someone here must have a life so sucky it'll cheer the rest of us up.

Shall we walk through your false premise together?
Will it help cure your depression if we do?
If so:
1. We did not buy a new oven.
2. We bought a house.
3. The oven, like the doors, fireplaces, electrical wiring and plumbing is built into the house. It would have cost the previous owners more money to remove it from the house than the oven is worth.
You really do need an outlet for all that unbridled anger and hatred that capped inside you, don't you? It just happens to be WTFH's turn atm.
Really? Tortuously explaining false logic?
We all know he bought the oven because he bought the house.
We also know that he didn't choose the oven, because it came with the house.
And FYI we really don't care about the difference.

So the discussion has now evolved into this...
Big Blue Plymouth "I'm going to start a thread about depression*
WTFH: "I have a rayburn and dogs and skis"
Minestrone: "not sure that helps"
WTFH: "you have depression"
Regret what you've not done, don't waste time regretting the past MS.
You can't change the past, but if you spend a lot of the present focussing on it, then you'll end up reliving the past rather than living the present.
The past has made you who you are today. You can't change that. The present is the opportunity to make yourself who you want to be in the future.
