Idiot stupid bastard ******* tulip clientco word templates.

Numbered headings are lovely, except when you use the 3rd level one it doesn't have numbers and it somehow contrives to screw up all of the 2nd and 3rd level styles so they no longer have numbers either. And now somehow I end up with numbering going 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 and I haven't touched the numbering, all I did was select a bit of text and apply the 3rd level heading style.

Definitely the work of a permie. Raaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Oh ******* **** **** **** **** ******** **** microsoft ******* word ******* ****

think it is mentioned as one of the circles of hell by Dante, I've got a week to write lots of hefty docs in word and am dreading the whole formatting cycle...takes just as long as writing the content - hate it hate it hate it!

MS Word's outline headings are a nightmare, not just numbering but formatting as well. You can tell the inheritance and dialog interface was designed by a tecky rather than somebody good at useability.

It seems that it took exception to me forcing a page break on the line before the line I wanted to make into a L3 header, and for some reason it numbered the preceding paragraph 3.1.1.1.1 and ****ed everything else up a treat.

I have fixed it now. Then I went back to writing code.

I suspect that in the future when computers are voice controlled there will be quite a lot of words mapped to the "undo" command.
