    Importing from China

I am about import a bulk quantity of computer parts from China. The total value is only £500 for 50 units, however I will have to pay DHL customs duty on delivery.

Does anyone know how much this is likely to be?

    Any hel appriecated.

Ring customs and they will tell you the duty rate. This is charged on the delivered price and then VAT is added.

Generally DHL will clear it for you and pay on your behalf, they then subsequently bill you. DHL also make a charge for this - I think it was about 15 quid last time I imported some stuff.
