GReader is also good for picking up stuff from Google Reader.

I have an email reader app, but would like a widget for quickly seeing the top 3 or 5 emails on the home screen

I have "Rail Planner Live" on mine. Works pretty well, although the information provided by British Rail often leaves something to be desired.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I object to paying Thales for something that should be free (as the data is all generated by publicly owned organisations). Luckily the government are about to force ATOC to open up their live running information data feeds, so I expect there'll be a few better free apps around for this soon.
