    Wireless LAN

Two laptops connected to a wireless LAN. Both running XP and both using the network fine.

I cant ping either of them from the other. What could be preventing this? What do I need to re-configure so they can see each other on the LAN. My ultimate aim is file sharing.

    Thanks!

XP firewall allows ICMP by default so it's probably not that.

Make sure the can ping themselves
Check the ip addresses and subnet mask for typing errors
Make sure they are in the same workgroup or domain
If there is a third device in the network (router, switch, pc etc.), try and ping this device or ping from the device.
