    Freesat recommendations?

We're looking to move soon and are thinking freesat+ will be the way to go as far as viewing arrangements go.

I see Sky offer freesat 'all in' (dish + installation + box) for £175, I can't see it being a + box that records though and can't see an option for that.

Does anyone know of a good deal/company that provide freesat (box+dish+installation) that includes a box that records?

Or is it an option to get a separate recorder box + possibly incorporated into a bluray/DVD player/recorder or some such?

I'm a novice at these things so any advice would be great. Also - it would be good to have the option to have it networked into more than 1 room if poss.

Look at Humax Freesat boxes. If you have a Sky dish, the Freesat box just replaces the Sky box. My parents had a Humax box fail at 2.5 years old, Humax just sent them a new one, no questions asked.

bear in mind that freesat from sky and freesat are different things:

        Home - freesat

FREESAT from Sky - Why choose FREESAT? - good comparison

We also have a Humax freesat box, very pleased with it, we like the BBC iplayer functionality, soon to be joined by ITV Player.

Moved into new place last November, has a Quad-LNB sky dish already fitted.

We have 2 Panasonic Freesat TVs, although Virgin cable in the lounge. we still have 2 free outputs from the dish in case we want a TV in the kitchen or the office.

Humax is the box I was looking at before buying TVs with Freesat integrated.

If that's the one with the 300Gb disk, we do too. Very good.
