I've just bought an external HDD for storing my music collection in lossless format for playing through my new amp.

Interested to hear what lossless format you are using - ogg perhaps?

The amp will only support MP3, WAV or WMA so I'm trying out either WAV or WMA and see if I can tell the difference......

FLAC's the way forward, only downside is the slightly large file sizes.
