Samsung LED TV

Hi,

i am thinking of replacing my TV and currently leaning towards the Samsung Crystal LED UE40b7020W, just wondering if anybody on this forum has bought one and what they think of it.

Also anybody who decided not to and why?

Actually its oled and they are really good. They can do proper black which an LCD can't because the LCD uses a big lamp befind the display. These screens are also very thin. I'd have one if I was in the market for a new TV. But I'm not.

It's NOT OLED; it's LCD with LED backlighting. It's better because rather than having to have one light for the whole screen, they can have lots of smaller lights for different parts of the screen and control luminance better for different parts of my picture.

From my occasional wanders around Currys, they do look very good.

Just got it today and set up now - it is fantastic. Had a Sony Bravia before but the picture on this is so clear, well pleased.

If you are in the market for a new TV, recommend the Samsung LED 7020.

Got it from Amazon - a little over £1100. Shopped around and there was not much difference really. Found a couple of places slightly cheaper (on the internet) but by the time you factored in the Delivery, it worked slightly more.

Local Comet had them in stock (£1199 i think) but weren't prepared to price match!

Anyway, well pleased with it.
