    iPhone versions

I'm considering getting an iPhone from eBay to stick my existing O2 SIM in as I do not wish to sign up to a new iPhone tariff.

I know the current model is a 3GS.

Prior to that you had the launch model.

However, was there a version in between these two - I vaguely recall there was. If so, what were the additional features it has over the launch model.

is both the name of the model and the extra features it had.

The 3G S has the same features as the 3G but with the added bonus of video capture and a compass.

And faster hardware and some new software features.
