Folder Sync across computers + backup

Can anyone recommend a good online backup service.

I'd also like to be able to sync across PC's as well.

I used FolderShare a while back, which I believe is now superseded by Windows Live Sync (installing just now)

    Any suggestions?

      thanks

I wonder how that fits into MS's sharing strategy. Am guessing Windows Live Sync supersedes this too?

Windows Live Sync is FolderShare renamed.

and there's also Live Mesh too

am just trying to figure out if these connect to Windows Live Sky Drive.

Any none MS solutions anyone can recommend?

I've been using "Allway Sync" for 6 months at home.

It backs up to NAS & synchronises 3 PCs.

Thanks, I'll try it. Using Unison so far, it seems OK.

The main thing I do is I keep 3 synced 2Gb USB sticks (1 is my memory, 2 is home backup, 3 is offsite). Using Allway Sync on PC to sync them is really fast; Unison on the Mac is really slow to scan, even syncing from 1 USB to a copy on hard disk (because the Mac's USB ports are too close together, grr!).

I could use rsync of course, unlike the OP.

Or I guess I could designate USB 1 as active and 2&3 as copies; but with syncing rather than copying, I don't write so often so the memory should last longer.
