    USB printer

I have loaded the drivers for a printer onto my laptop. With the printer connected directly into the laptop, all is OK. When I put a USB extension lead into the equation, the laptop doesn't recognise the USB devise.

Any suggestions other than buying a longer lead and avoid the need for the extension?

    TIA

    Bad extension cable?

Assume when you said 'printer connected directly into the laptop' that was via USB, right?

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
