Hi
I have setup a Terminal server for some of my remote users to access our systems.
I have installed Terminal Server Licensing on the DC which is active and have installed Terminal Server Per Device Licenses that are displayed as 'Windows Server 2003 TS Per Device CAL; Open; 5 Licenses available; zero issued.
When I got a user to log onto the terminal server through remote desktop, it hasn't used the licenses that have already been installed but instead is using a temporary license which has just appeared on the mmc.
It reads 'Temporary Licenses for Windows Server 2003 - Terminal Server Per Device CAL Token; Type - Temporary; Issued - 1'
Why has it done this? Surely it should have recognised that licenses were already installed and used them.
Would it make a difference because I installed the Licensing on the DC before i installed the Terminal Server?
