even weirder - just looked at my iGoogle page which has a gadget which displays the Gmail inbox and that is fine - refreshing ok, but can't load my Gmail account in the gmail window.

Try using https instead of http - maybe the http one is being blocked but the other isn't (as a customer of mine once did)

Same problem for me. GMail overview in IGoogle is fine, actual GMail seems dead

all ok this morning - gremlins have gone.. !!!!
