Pretty much the wetware's answer to FrontpageOriginally posted by Clippy -
I use it. I have only been with them for a few months though:-Originally posted by Clippy
They have the gold, silver and bronze packages. I have the bronze, which is free for life.
Positives
Everything was free! The domain (including every year) email addresses etc.
You can get your email through hotmail, all you need is a net connection *
You can edit your website anywhere and easily update *
Negatives
The main negative is the lack of flexibility when desiging the website. At the bronze level you cannot enter any HTML yourself. You have to choose from templates which are quite limited. The quality of the site can therefore be poor.
The other main negaitive is having a MicroSoft search bar and logo which you cannot get rid of.
I would say if you are not a techy and just want a simple site (mine is 5 pages) then it is a good option as there are no costs involved. You can also build it without any knowlegde (think Frontpage but even simpler!).
However you will never win awards with a site built this way!
If you have any specific questions I'll be very happy to answer them.
*NB: I have not used any other providers so don’t know if this is unusualComment
