    Mouse Wheel Question

Anybody know how to change the default number of lines scrolled from 3 to 1 on a W2K box without access to the registry (tried going in to regedit to change it manually but that's locked out at this place).

The mouse option in control panel doesn't have any mouse wheel options.

It's really getting on my tits atm!!

Install the drivers that came with the mouse

Get the tech support to provide the right drivers for the mouse. If you don't see the wheel options then it's not the right driver.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

BTW correct driver is now installed but the damn mouse is still scrolling 3 rows at a time even though it is set to scroll only 1 row at a time in mouse properties. I'm just fed up with it now :/

Try the Registry under Accessibility or else where...

Just had a look at mine on XP Pro Microsoft Mouse. It has tthe options for number of lines. Re-install Windows.

                  Shame it's a Windows 2000 box

I'll be here a while, it's putting SAP on my CV which should help out with the buzz word police when I go looking again.
