    What's good whats not.

    My project is trying to standardise tools, what XML tols are good

    XMLSPY?
    VS2005 does it supprt any good?
    eclipse plugins
    etc...
    Your parents ruin the first half of your life and your kids ruin the second half

    I find altova software to be very slow but feature rich. VS 2005 has enough functionality for me, xslt debugging, schema validation, intellisense
    whats the lowest you can do this for?

      Have you tried oXygen (http://www.oxygenxml.com/) it's pretty good, has multiple platform support (the reason we use it) and it has a nice plugin for eclipse.

      Also it has most of the benefits of spy but is a shed load cheaper.
