Yep, I think you'll need to use journalctl to view log messages. There are ways to get the various daemons to still write to /var/log... but it needs some configuring and you'll probably need to install syslog“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
