Right. I realise this is a contentious thread. It wasn't started as such and I'm sure noone actually cares since the original problem was solved admirably by the Faqqer.

What does concern me is that posters (such as MS) stagger in here with clearly no expertise whatsovever (in Oracle) and start making a peanut gallery of the forum, with their wildly innappropriate posts about alternative DBMSs.

If you look at the original post, I mean actually read the fecking thing, you will note :

a)

It is already about building dynamic strings to execute

b)

It is about Oracle

So at this point 2 things should be abundantly clear :

1) This has nothing to do with parameterised queries
2) This has nothing to do with SQL Server.

Sadly, however the peanut gallery has not only tossed in their peanuts, but also tossed their toys out of the pram completely inappropriately.

I have not accused MS of bullying. She chose to interpret it that way.

My accusations of wandering into the thread like a drunk, wildly slashing about with random irrelevancies and then chucking the toys out still stand.
