Is a business bank account needed working with Umbrella company?
Am totally new to contracting, willl work via an umbrella company and it seems that I will have to open a bank account in UK. Can I open a normal/ordinary account to be paid? Non-UK EEC citizen with short term contract in UK, any specific advice/caveats?
I am Italian, so EEC, got a 3 month contract in UK. Probably will not continue contracting after that, surely not more than one year. Where to find short term contracts?
The vast majority of contract roles on sites like Jobserve/Jobsite are 3 months minimum and full time. Does anyone know where I could find short term contracts? e.g. where the client's requirement is for a consultant for just a few weeks and/or part time.- Winger
