    Hi-de-Hi!

Welfare spending in 1980 was approx 10% of GDP. Welfare spending in 2026 is approx 10% of GDP. Tricky thing, facts.

    Freeagent

Asking for my daughter, who's just started a business. She got freeagent with her bank account. I don't use such new fangled ideas, when excel and a box file still works for me :-) Once she's scanned in receipts and invoices etc, does she still need the originals ?? TIA.

    Ryanair leaves 89 passengers behind

Not really a tough one, is it ? Think 'different queues for 3rd country departure passengers' and you'd be getting close.

    Dead Celebrities Thread

One of my many dubious claims to fame is calling Robert Duvall a 'a thick baldy c**t' (to his face obviously) during a meet and greet thing after the filming of the worst film ever made in movie history. A Shot at Glory.

    EES delays

Arrived at TFS on Wednesday last week, around 2 PM. ESS was off and the old passport scanners were on. Landing, pisspot control and baggage in total took about 30 mins, and that included an extra trip to a different baggage area for an outsize item.

    Tax rises?

I didn't think central govt had anything to do with setting council tax levels. Do they ? Only thing I'd heard was VAT thresholds to £30K. Hopefully not true.

    Photo/Video enhancing

What 'choochters' live on Bute you tit. It's on the same latitude as Glasgow. The 'constructive' was in this case, Topaz, cause their stuff is pretty much the best on the market for the job you want to do. Is that not constructive enough for you ? All the gear and no idea ? Given you know...

    Photo/Video enhancing

`Topaz Video is one of the best going but it's quite expensive. Not really for someone who buys Behringer studio gear.

    new PC build

I use Reaper now (not cause I'm a tight bastard). I had some dongle problems with Protools a few years back and Avid were a nightmare to deal with. Reaper is an easy swap from PT. There's a linux version on the Cockos website. Might try it to prolong the life of my DAW machine. Audaciy ...

    new PC build

I know it's probably not that uncommon but how does the linux DAW machine work ? No hardware support or VSTi issues or anything ? What DAW you using ? I'm still on windaes for DAW use but can see the point of changing if it's a seamless and problem free platform.
