How the offshore industry works
One of our vendors sent a guy claiming to be THE man for the job. Interestingly, he couldn't do things that interns did. We had to have some tough discussions with the offshore partner to remove the guy. He accepted that he had faked. -

Anyone worked for Sky in Osterly?
There is a decent bus service from Osterley underground station. But it would take 20 minutes to cross a mile in the morning. Better be early. The place itself is not bad, I mean Osterley. No comments about Sky though. And for parking you can check if Wyke Green golf club or Grasshopper Rugby...- spb

Tell you what - there is a big gap in the recruiting market. There is a serious lack of people with real understanding of business and technology. The recruiter would have found your cv with the word "Sage" instead of stage that you uploaded in some random website when recruiting went online... -

The rates are as low as 160 quid for UAT lead. And surprisingly there are people ready to accept. This one is for some company in Brentford. Must be outsourced again- spb

They don't lose by doing copy & paste a real job desc. Another way of keeping themselves busy. You give them a ring they ask all funny questions and agree to call back. But that doesn't happen.- spb

I do add a covering letter and tailor my CV. Few of the jobs seem to be perfect fit. Yet, no luck. Applied for least 15 jobs in a day, but most of them don't seem to be real jobs. If there is a real job, at least 10 recruiters post it which again doesn't seem real as not many companies deal with...- spb

First time poster... So pardon my ignorance. I am a newish contractor and have been on the bench since Christmas. It is scary that there are barely any jobs on the market for a Test Manager. It is normal this time of the year? or has this year been particularly bad?- spb
