Unpaid invoice:- Agency > Umbrella > Me ?
I'm after some advice! I've been working through an umbrella company and finished my last contract in mid November. I should have been paid for the work I did that month on 6th Dec but for reasons as yet unknown I did not receive a payment. I left on good terms having given nearly 2 months...- rm55

I went from Umbrella company to Ltd last autumn. Far from an expert but based on the info I've picked up since then.... Yes, keep a record of business mileage each day. You can then claim 45p per mile (so basically £45 a day in your case) until you claim over 10,000 miles per tax year then...- rm55

Withdrawing dividend before invoice paid?
Yeah, the interest rate goes to 1.313% a month but I've always planned on paying it off, worst case with my savings but hopefully at least in part with money form my company. Thanks to everyone for the replies, I just wanted to check as wasn't going to accidentally do anything illegal!- rm55

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to bore people by going into too much detail in the first post, but to elaborate slightly, it isn't as bad as it sounds... There's comparatively little reserve built up in the company but that's mainly as I only went Ltd in mid-September having worked...- rm55

Worth registering my new Ltd Co for PAYE?

Probably really basic Ltd Co question from a beginner!
Thanks chaps, the above is kind of confirming that (based on a relatively low daily rate), it will in fact be cheaper and safer to stick with my umbrella co. :( Edit to add:- my new contract is based very close to home so I'll probably be cycling to work, therefore no business mileage to speak...- rm55
