Do you know the current state of your business finances?
Nixon Williams monthly service is great but I asked them recently if they could tell me what the (interim) retained profit in my company was. The answer I got was "not until after your year end" which I didn't find very helpful. This is a fairly fundamental number and I would have thought anyone...- reginald

I've posted on here before re jury service, I received a summons a few years ago. As it wasn't delivered by recorded or registered mail (ie no proof of receipt) it went straight in the bin and that was that. -

VAT Registration
I applied in January and am still waiting for the FRS bit ... Spoke to the muppets in Wulveraaamptunn (or wherever I forget) last week it got "lost" and should be arriving next week. FFS can anyone do a simple filing job properly in Blairs Britain today ?- reginald

PI Insurance for Investment Banking contractors
I wouldn't bother. You won't need it. If you f**k up that badly on a live trading system at worst you'll be marched off site straight away, your permie boss may well follow you, and his boss will lose some bonus. And if you do f**k up that badly you're probably a permie in disguise. :D- reginald
