Hi Guys,
I'm sorry if I have started another "one of these" threads..
Firstly, I am using the "inside IR35" umbrella calculator from Paystream, which shows the exact amount I get in my pay cheque.. all the other same calculators give a lot lower figure.. which is throwing me a bit.
I...
Hello all,
I am currently operating inside IR35 via an umbrella.
The opportunity has come up to get back into an outside IR35 role and I need to determine a like for like day rate when compared to the inside role.
My issue is that I am having trouble getting an accurate take home pay value...
Hi team
Quick question here, not intended to be legal or anything as such. Just wonder do agencies / clients .. (Logical or not) get peeved and take a dim view of you "opting in" to conduct regulations.. to the point where they might try and worm out of contract?
I have just signed everything...
Hi Guys,
Just curious as I am finding it hard to make such a calculation.
Does anybody know how to calculate true take home pay if a person had an outside IR35 role and a PAYE perm job?
I've been at pains to figure it out, but I guess I don't understand how tax works.
Thanks
In my opinion it is "the future of work".
Provided that the business/management can retain productivity, there are no real downsides for a business.
With that in mind.. I have decided I will be moving out of London and purchasing a home outside of the commuter belt. I can foresee that in the...
Skimming is the wrong word to use here imho. Absolutely creaming it is the correct terminology I think.
I would regard this as "peak" "creaming it" by the agency and you can't fault them for it... they are winning if they are successful at this with many suppliers, i.e. you.
As has previously...
Ever since reading the post previously about the guy who did cold calling, I was thinking about getting a manual labour job.. thanks for setting me straight on that one..
I usually just say XXX (high end), "or that kind of ballpark" which is basically saying, "try me".. and sometimes they say that is fine, or we settle for a little less (lower end of my expectation, which is fine by me).
Some interesting food for thought here..
The main reason I was thinking of lowering my rate was because I felt I was lucky enough to be in the higher end of the spectrum of late.
I know that most contractors with my skills are sitting around 525-565 region really, especially across various...
Morning ladies and gents,
I know it's not the best time of year and we are in funny times, but I would much rather be in a contract that sitting at home.
I know that my day rate is pretty much at the high end in the market and am considering reducing it.
Currently my strategy is to spend...
Haha yea perhaps. But it was weird. I had previously applied there and they were really happy with my tech. This time around they didn't even ask much tech stuff, the interview was more of a "chemistry type" thing with the partner..
That's why I am inclined to think it was a rate thing. Usually...
Soo.. the consultancy was stringing me along all week and they have finally let me know that the "client has pulled the role".
That is regardless of the fact that I saw the consultancy had re-advertised the role on Monday.
Well they obviously got somebody else for a bit cheaper.
Let's put the...
