4 interviews all went well, zero offers.
2 more interviews lined up tomorrow, both perm with mediocre salaries which I applied for beginning of August.
Luckily my former client gave me a call, said it was for a week. That week is turning into a month now. More work on the horizon. Even these...
After 2 months on the bench....
I now have a 3 month contract on normal rate.
Was a dire job search for those 2 month. Watching the war chest deplete, whilst applying for fake roles.
Sorry, Unlike the banking sector, BT are carrying out an IR35 review per a contract. As opposed to making all roles inside.
Thought it made a refreshing change.
I did the above before and it indeed did lead to the manager being unhappy. When I explained there was no work on, It led to the most menial tasks imaginable. So I walked. Best decision I made. Just wish I lined up the next contract whilst sat there doing nothing.
I know someone who left through mutual agreement with this agency.
Worse case is they bring someone else in and charge you the difference it takes to replace you.
So not the full amount, Im not aware of them ever enforcing this but it is in the contract...
The service has plummeted recently. No replies to emails or call backs.
For what they charge, the service is very poor.
Think I will be leaving them also in the near future.
Mine depleted couple of month back and only just narrowly missed the 0 spare change mark. Then I landed and extended. Never known stress like it.
Wont be playing the waiting game again. Will take anything to keep topping up the war chest.
I'm in a similar position. 3 month extension on the table. I'm bored and want to move on, but the advice I have been given is sit tight over winter.
3 months in the Warchest. which could stretch to 5 if I live sensible..
