ir35 contract review - what to expect?

Precisely. If you're given a business document at work to review do you send it back every time you find something basic wrong with it? No. You collate all the issues, simple and complicated, and then present them all back together, instead of becoming annoying by constantly throwing it back...

ir35 contract review - what to expect?

Did I say that anywhere? I did use the word 'basic'.

Sorry for not being up with all the lingo on here, but whats an 'OP' ?

Opt Out - Provide 2 years of accounts ?

They've already asked for, and been given, all those (passport, references, qualifications, plus accountant contact, bank statements, and more). The only thing out of the 4 if you opt-in they specifically don't have is 2 years accounts, which is why I asked about it. The general discussion on...

Opt Out - Provide 2 years of accounts ?

    Why? What are you implying?

ir35 contract review - what to expect?

A couple of basic ones were they had my name in the contract, which made it personal. For 'Services' they also a job title e.g. 'System Developer', rather than a service like 'Systems Development'. The others were more involved. There are so many things that could be an issue, you should...

ir35 contract review - what to expect?

The agency were getting a bit impatient and so I actually rang up the reviewer directly to ask when it might be done. The girl who answered said they didn't have much on right now and would check. The person assigned to do the review said it would still take the full 5 days. I got it back after...

ir35 contract review - what to expect?

I just had IPSE do one. For members its £145 - 5 business days, £340 - 24 hours. As the market is dead I assumed they might have a light workload, and I had nearly 2 weeks anyway, I went for the 5 day one. It took 3.5 business days and was done by Abbey. I told the agency I was waiting on it...

Opt Out - Provide 2 years of accounts ?

No, they sent me a form to sign to opt-out, with a list of what is required of I don't sign it, i.e. passport ID (which they already have), 2 years of certified accounts, domestic bills, etc. General information seems to be it doesn't really affect IR35 so don't opt-out without a reason, so...

Opt Out - Provide 2 years of accounts ?

Isn't the whole AWR thing about protecting lower paid agency contractors, e.g. a forklift truck driver supplied by an agency wouldn't be required to provide the agency with 2 years accounts from a qualified accountant would they? Is it more about agencies trying to deter IT contractors from...

Opt Out - Provide 2 years of accounts ?

Agency has demanded that if I don't Opt Out I have to supply (among other things) "Accounts for the last two years of trading signed by a qualified accountant;". Does anyone know why they would want that? Can't find any mention of it searching past discussions.

    Contractor v Client Notice Periods

I've never seen a contract that includes the actual technologies to be used. The closest is usually something like 'Software Development', 'Systems Development', etc. which are open to vague interpretation. In my case, I just did the best job possible and kept the client onside, when I was...

Anyone know of a Contractor sued by an Agency or Client, ever?

The thing being asked was the bit that ended with the '?' character. If I should post another question I'll remember to keep it really simple.

Anyone know of a Contractor sued by an Agency or Client, ever?

No, the point of the thread is the title. You singled out the comment about insurance and sidetracked it off about that.
