    New settlement terms

Yep I agree. This is merely an opinion finding exercise and a point in the right direction. I deem a silly rate being anything I already knew or action I would have taken myself. You could argue I'm paying for the experience and know how of said professional however this is all new ground and I...

    New settlement terms

Not to bad mouth WTT but last time I engaged with them they were charging silly rates for just initial responses. With the amount in question I don't think it's worth paying for settlement help. The loan demand however is a different ball game as it's a lot more than what my settlement would be...

    New settlement terms

Precisely I’m not here for a fight I’m here for resolution without getting my pants pulled down again. I’m trying to get a stone wall resolution so I can sleep easy going forward.

    New settlement terms

Thanks for the help folks. I think it may be worth getting a few quotes from advisors and taking it from there. Inclined to lean towards settling myself and then contacting the liquidators to square off or even waiting for them. The risk is that I reopen the can of worm on something that they...

    New settlement terms

To get the loan written off I would have to speak with the liquidator regardless? Not sure if that’s a good idea. Let sleeping dogs lie as the saying goes… If I didn’t get the loan written off am I looking at IHT?

    New settlement terms

Thank you all for the help. I was in the thinking of not forking out for legal advice due to the loan amount. My issue currently is that I can’t make sense of whether I should settle using the new 2020 settlement terms or stick with using the loan charge route? On a side note the DR scheme...

    New settlement terms

Hi guys, Been trying to get my head around the new settlement terms and figure what option is best for me. I rang up HMRC who said I could either stick to the loan charge route or settle under the new terms. I submitted an amended tax return over a year ago before the September 2020 deadline...

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

I’ve been told by two separate liquidators that they are almost resigned to not being able to recover all of the money that is owed. It depends on the company and of course how much. Not to say they won’t go after the entire amount. 5% being offered seems like a dodgy agreement between whyatt...

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

It won’t be tailored sending you a statutory demand it would be Voscap. A company under liquidation shouldn’t be contacting us in any instance, so the emails being sent are most likely not authorised. A liquidator I’ve spoken to has mentioned this to me and has even gone as far as saying Voscap...

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

Has Matthew liaised with the liquidator and agreed on 5% or has this just been promised to you?

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

Another email received from Tailored encouraging to use their recommended solicitors. Still no response from Voscap to initial reply. Reading between the lines...

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

I see! Who knows. I know of people that didn’t respond to the initial letter and have now been sent another letter. It’s all a bit of a tulip show all ends.

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

HMRC have just asked to settle tax affairs on the disguised remuneration through submitting amended tax return. However they still have a massive backlog. They’ve set a deadline of 31st December for themselves to go through all submitted tax returns.

Old Umbrella Company (Tailored) in Liquidation

Just wondering if anybody has heard back from Voscap? I’ve not heard anything from them since the initial letter and my initial response.
