Self-employed face losing homes after innocently using loan charge tax loophole | Daily Mail Online
Well done to the people at LCAG for making this happen at last. The Mail has been explicitly ignoring the Loan Charge due to editorial opinion, it even had blocks on the phrase in the comments...
If HMRC make their 31st deadline it will be a first. I would imagine that will be put back. It certainly does seem interesting but is not to be discussed on this forum.
Except that he was doing a lot behind the scenes such as meeting Matt Hall last night and working a way forward in conjunction with him. It's really up to you what you want to think but Phil is most definitely on our side
HMRC have asked me to pay £41k and I only received £63k over the course of 9 months in a scheme, the Loan Charge can't be more than that. I will not reply to their "kind" offer to settle. IMO there is more chance of the LC being abolished between now and 31st Jan than anything happening before...
Thanks but I'm not a naive numpty :wink
My angle was that I would never think Phil would spoof anything like that, it just is not something that would cross my mind regarding him. He's told me when he's been out of the country so I guess I just trust him more.
You should have got an email from Phil yesterday if you were a client of DSW. The arrests the other day were nothing to do with Phil or DSW by the way.
