The marketing spiel looks like you can plug and play any 3.5" HDD and even SSDs but I won't be using those for this. The 2 NAS disks will be further backed up onto my main PC, and again on an external USB HDD. So in effect I will have multiple backups overall.
The main purpose of the NAS is to...
I just want a simple NAS where the family can backup their files/photos/videos and access them centrally and remotely.
Bonus would be to install something like Plex so that we can watch home movies on TVs around the house.
I think the 2-bay Ugreen will suffice. One disk will be for access and...
All these years and I've never used NAS but now it's time I set one up at home. I'm trying to learn on what I should get.
I'll only be using it as a 'shared drive', for storing household documents and photos/videos for the family to use and access. Nothing fancy - no Plex or music etc. I will...
Where might one acquire Microsoft Office for a less than retail price these days?

Prices have gone a bit crazy.
Have settled on the build below at just sub-£2k. Will install Windows 11 myself.
I'm sure there are plenty of holes that can be picked on this or any spec, but for the money this is a build I'm good with.
Case: BEQUIET! Pure Base...
Given the extortionate prices now, but the fact that I quite desperately need a new PC, does this appear to be a reasonable option now at £2k - bearing in mind future-proofing for a few years ?
CyberPower, AMD Ryzen 7, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForc...
My only additional cost would be to...
I last purchased a PC from CyberPower 10 years ago. It was specc'd well for its time (see below) so lasted me well, considering that I'm just a casual gamer and didn't need anything too powerful.
I want to upgrade now to Win 11 and to a better spec, but of course am caught up the RAM price...
