It's a hard one to call - the thread will probably be dog slow, so lobbing up a lot of speculative millenniposts may be in order. Then we'll have AtW's script to contend with

Broadband's back
The odd thing is that the technician hasn't been round - I shifted the modem over nearer the door so he wouldn't have to squeeze into the corner to work on it, plugged it in and it connected immediately
Normally they either call you or put a card through the door if they get it fixed without coming in.
Or maybe it spuriously fixed itself, and the technician will turn up later and have nothing to do
