We've just got back from the local Chinese buffet.

Perhaps not the usual wedding anniversary outing for a contractor but we're too tired to go somewhere posh.

We were going to take champagne and so I phoned and asked how much they charge for corkage. They said ... £9.50 !

So I cancelled the booking.

It does seem alot - maybe they had other bookings who they figured would each buy wine?

I rarely drink so most restaurants lose from me. Mineral water mostly.
